I think the title says it all! I am always willing to drop what I’m doing to take a little trip to the concrete jungle (literally). Although this trip was much fun and needed, it was also a work trip. I don’t mind if my job wants to send me to New York for a whole week as I much rather walk around the big city!

Outfit Details:
I went to New York with two of my co-workers, we had a great time exploring the city and also sitting through all of the conferences we needed to attend. On the plus side of the conferences, we got to listen to Emma Stone talk about her anxiety and Josh Peck talk about having a voice on all social media platforms for your audience to engage with your social accounts. We also got to hear Steve Madden speak about how he started his company and why. I don’t know about you but 1/2 my closet is full of Steve Madden shoes! I don’t want to bore you too much with all of the work stuff, so I’ll get on with all of the fun things we did.
First thing first, once we got to take breaks from all the conferences you would find us in Central Park. The whole week we were in New York the weather was wonderful, except for one day which I will go into detail later. We did a lot of walking through the park, eating hot dogs, pretzels, and cookie dough ice cream. You name it we probably ate it!
The next day was one of the girls 25th birthday, so we celebrated her by going to brunch at Jacks Wife Freda SO yummy and that night we went to a rooftop bar before dinner named Le Bain At The Standard. If you’re wanting to grab a few drinks before dinner or just hang out with friends for the night you should definitely check out this bar, the High Line is beautiful.
The following day, we thought it would be a great idea to take the subway to Brooklyn to get in a few photos in front of the bridge aka where Dan Humphrey lives and then take a stroll across the Brooklyn bridge. Well, little did we know it would start pouring rain when we got half way. If you’ve ever walked across that bridge you know it’s a very long walk to the other side. I wasn’t too happy about having to walk in the rain in a very cute outfit. Needless to say, I made it by running all the way to the other side to try to get out of the rain….LOL
If you’re asking yourself, “Did she ever get any work done?” Yes, we all did. We went to the conferences every day it might have been two one day and five the next but we all made sure to get our work done when we had some downtime.
It was a successful trip of spending time with my co-workers and just getting out of the State of Texas for awhile. I have to say I look forward to many more work trips down the road!
