I started a new chapter in my life. Something that

I started a new chapter in my life. Something that I have wanted for SO long but never chased my dreams until July 2019.

I left the business world behind and start my teaching career here at Bay City High School! You read that right, you are looking at the new FCS (Family Consumer Science) teacher for Bay City High School. I know what you’re thinking High School? WHAT? You look like a high schooler well yes, I understand I look innocent and sweet but I know when to get down to business. Especially with it being high school.

I wouldn’t be where I am today if God didn’t provide this path for me. I know he wouldn’t put me in a situation that I couldn’t handle and for that reason I put everything in his hands.

Teaching has been something that has weighed on my heart for so long! I know I have some type of gift with helping people, building them up and making them the best they can be. I am so passionate about what I can do as a teacher and I can’t wait to put it in action!

I started my teaching journey back in July of 2019 with Texas Teachers. I knew I wanted to finish the program within a year, take my content exam, find a job and pass my PPR. Well, I am now done with the program, I passed my content exam, found a job 🎉 and now to pass my PPR (prayers are SO appreciated)!! 🙏🏼 I am so excited to take you along with this journey!

If you’re a teacher I would love any advice you can offer for first year teachers!
